Top Ten Spring Ski Tips
Get the most out of your spring time days on the slopes with these tips from ski country gurus.
- The best times to ski are from 10 am to 2 pm.
- Push back your lunch break or eat something on the lift to get the most out of your ski day.
- Ski the groomed runs in the morning while the rest of the mountain warms up.
- Try to park next to clean snow so that you can wipe the mud off your boots before you toss them in your car after coming down the mountain.
- Bring a change of clothes for apres ski because you might be soaked by the end of the day.
- Layer up! It’s chilly in the morning, but by afternoon, you’ll be down to your skivvies!
- Bring the sunscreen and hit the sun deck. Bright Colorado afternoons will keep you outside to soak up rays and enjoy a burger.
- Falling while skiing in a bikini or shorts is cold. Make sure you come to terms with this before you shed all your layers.
- Check out the local ski shops for end of season demo sales. You’ll find great deals, and dreams of new gear will carry you through those long summer months.
