Crested Butte Extending Hours

Skiers and snowboarders will get to enjoy the benefits of more daylight in the evenings as a ski resort announced Sunday it is extending its hours.

The Crested Butte Mountain Resort announced on Sunday that its Red Lady Express lift will run until 5:30 p.m. everyday – giving skiers and snowboarders an extra hour and a half on the slopes.

In addition, the ski resort says its Silver Queen lift will remain open until 5 p.m. everyday.

Resort officials also say their DC Superpipe will be open an extra hour and their Rail Park, located at the top of Warming House Hill will be open an additional hour and a half each day.

The extension amounts to an extra 42 hours of skiing and riding added to Crested Butte’s season, according to resort officials.

Crested Butte will remain open through April 8.
