With the last month of steroid-induced snowfall in Colorado, Purgatory (Durango) was one of the resorts in our state that got hit…with soft powder that is. And now, for all you Dallas Cowboys and Girls, the snow is only a 2-hour flight away!

There are also deals like Buy One Get One Free and $100 off to help you escape the Longhorn state just long enough to miss it once you get back.

Flights depart from Dallas Love Field on Wednesday and Saturday evenings at 8 allowing you to get that full workday in before you jet. And on the way back, your flight leaves at 8 pm so you can rip it up for the whole day before you go racing home.

Purgatory at Durango Mountain Resort got more than 11 feet of snow so far this season: Two big storms hit early in the season, one with 33 inches in 3 days in December and another with 36 inches in four days over Martin Luther King Jr. weekend. Forecasters are calling for an El Nino weather pattern for the early part of 2007, which favors above average snowfall for the southwest portion of the country. In previous El Nino winters, Purgatory has recorded record snowfall.
