Ready, set, snowmaking!

Just beneath the treetops across Copper Mountain’s landscape, if you listen closely, you’ll hear the movement of a rare nocturnal being. There among the wildlife roams a super human who rarely sleeps.

Quietly they are busying themselves by concocting potions worthy of ripping, carving, and making snow angels. Is it a scientist? Or is it an artist? NO! It’s Copper Mountain’s top secret operation staff. They may never know of their icon status across the nation, but, the Mountain snowmaking teams are akin to Mother Nature Herself.

“If you make it, they will come.” A common phrase used among this rare breed of people. As long as the temperatures stay cool through the night Copper will continue on their quest for the best! All it takes is the desire of a few hundred thousand people, a snow gun, and the perfect mix of water and wind. Flip the switch and by sunrise a beautiful blanket of silky white snow will get any passerby in the mood. Now that the snow is flying, ski racks are slowly being mounted, and you’ll hear the distant grinding noise of skis and boards being tuned.
