Fond Farewells
This weekend Crested Butte, Monarch Mountain, and Steamboat close for the season and it’s a great chance to pay them one last visit. Both Steamboat and Crested Butte are reporting 100% of their terrain open, and with the exception of Mirkwood Basin, Monarch is also nearly 100% open. To top it off, all three are expecting fresh snow today—just in time for the weekend.
This weekend won’t just be about closings, though. Colorado will still have 12 other resorts still open and both Sunlight and Wolf Creek will be re-opening for the weekend with discounted lift tickets. That means you could ski at any of 17 resorts between now and Sunday.
Spring at the ski resorts also means great events. Some of the highlights include:
- Copper Mountain Sunsation, Weekend Two
- Loveland Three Pin Grin Festival and Coors Light Music Series
- Monarch Mountain Kayaks on Snow
- Spring Back to Vail
- Fiesta Beaver Creek
- Steamboat’s 26th Annual Cardboard classic and free concert with Tony Furtado
- Keystone “Street Party” and DJ Crisp at River Run Village
- Winter Park’s Spring Blast
- Breckenridge Spring Massive
- DJ Jahstone at Arapahoe Basin
Check out all the events at the Colorado Events Calendar and enjoy your spring skiing—wherever you decide to go.
